Thanksgiving Week waste collection to take place one day early: city

For the first time, the City of Longmont Waste Services will change its collection schedule during the week of Thanksgiving so that the City’s Waste Services employees can enjoy Thanksgiving Day not collecting trash, but celebrating with their family and friends. 

Help your hard-working trash collection employees enjoy their Thanksgiving by changing your trash and recycling collection schedule during the holiday week! 

Collection schedules will be moved one day early during the Thanksgiving Holiday week. Please refer to the list below to make sure you have your collection bins out on time. All bins should be out on the curb before 7 a.m. on their appointed collection day below and remain out until they are picked up. 

Thanksgiving Week Collection Schedule:

  • Monday Collection Areas: Normal schedule – please place bins out at the curb before 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20. They will be collected by the end of the day 
  • Tuesday Collection Areas: Set bins out before 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20. They will be collected by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 21. 
  • Wednesday Collection Areas: Set bins out before 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21. All bins will be collected by the end of the day on Wednesday, Nov. 22. 
  • Thursday Collection Areas: Set bins out before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. All bins will be collected by the end of the day. 

If you have questions or your collection was missed, call 303-651-8416 by Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Longmont Waste Services staff will schedule a time to pick up your collection.
