LONGMONT - The Longmont Museum opened its newest exhibition, “A Graphic Journey: Prints by Pablo Picasso,” on February 1. The show features more than 60 works by Picasso that were created between 1923 to 1972.

The exhibition was organized by Landau Traveling Exhibitions, a traveling art exhibitor from Los Angeles, California, and will be available to view in the Longmont Museum until May 4. It includes prints by Picasso as well as ceramics that were donated to the exhibition by a local collector.

“A Graphic Journey” showcases three key stages of Picasso’s career, according to the City of Longmont’s website. The show highlights how Picasso created art with themes of love, war, power and humanity. “From detailed early etchings to bold lithographs and inventive linocuts, it highlights his constant experimentation with master printers,” the website says. “Visitors will see not only famous images, but also Picasso’s transformative approach to each technique, offering a rare look at his creative brilliance.”

The Longmont Museum is located at 400 Quail Road, in Longmont. Admission into the exhibition costs $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, $0.25 with a qualifying EBT or SNAP card, and children ages three and under are admitted for free. Longmont Museum members can also view the show for free.
