On March 29, Longmont Creative District and Downtown Longmont will host a Dress Up Downtown Costume Crawl. The crawl, which the organizations started last month, will happen on the last Saturday of every month. This month, the theme is “Bunny Hop,” and residents are encouraged to dress in costumes inspired by rabbits.
One meeting place for this month’s event is Elevated Communities Gently Used Clothing Boutique. Residents can stop by the boutique anytime between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and receive discounts. Photos, games, food, and activities will begin starting at 4 p.m.
Throughout the day, Bunny Hop-related events and specials will be occurring at six other local businesses. For adults, free shots will be available at The Roost, Jefes, and the 99 Bar Saloon. For kids, an easter egg hunt will take place at Abbott and Wallace Distilling.
The neighborhood-wide costume event alternates themes each month, which will be “infused into the specials, challenges, and fun” at downtown Longmont businesses. Each month, the business where participants meet will change. Costumes are not officially required to participate in any part of the costume crawl festivities.
The theme set for April 26 is “Red Carpet Night.” A full list of months and corresponding themes for the costume crawls, as well as a full list of participating businesses this month, is available on Downtown Longmont’s website.
