An informational session regarding True North, an affordable housing community that will offer 185 residences in downtown Longmont, will happen online on March 12 at 5 p.m. The session will last for one hour and will educate attendees about the housing development and the “exciting new chapter in community-focused housing” that Longmont is entering.

True North is a “visionary real estate development” that came about through a collaboration between the City of Longmont, the Goldens (a fifth-generation Longmont family), and Louisville-based developer Vertikal. The goal of the development is to make homeownership in Longmont affordable and attainable. Homes will be available for purchase within the development starting at $350,000.

The city broke ground on the housing community in January. The pre-application submission window opens April 12. In July, home selection and contracts should be finalized by buyers. The completion and sale of homes is projected to last from August to February 2026.

The houses built within True North are thoughtfully designed and blend modern elegance with practical living, according to the development’s website. “Whether you're searching for a single-family home or a low-maintenance townhome, our floor plans are crafted to fit your unique lifestyle. Enjoy open-concept living spaces, gourmet kitchens, and abundant natural light, all designed to maximize both style and function.”

The information session is free and online only. Attendees can preregister and access the meeting at bit.ly/TrueNorthInfoSession.
