Swim instructor and lifeguard certification offered during holidays

Classes for swim teachers are free and $45 for future city lifeguards

Being a swim instructor or lifeguard can be rewarding, year-round work. Interested? This winter break you can get certified to teach swim lessons – or become a lifeguard – for the City of Longmont.

  • The Longmont Swim Instructor (LSI) class meets from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Dec. 27 and 28 and is free of charge.
  • The City of Longmont ARC lifeguard training meets Jan. 2-5 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.: future city employees pay only $45.

Both classes are offered at Centennial Pool, 1201 Alpine Street, Longmont.
