Last week the city of Longmont announced the launch of its new website. Along with the launch was the adoption of a new software that manages the city’s utility payments. Residents who manage their utility accounts online were asked to create a new account. Volunteers at the Longmont Senior Center are offering in-person assistance for those who may need further help.
“Some people do better with a little personal guidance, especially if it’s been a long time since their previous online account or autopayment was set up,” said Sandra Seader, assistant city manager. “I am so grateful that the volunteers at the Senior Center are willing to help keep the process clear and simple so that our customers can keep access to the services they need.”
Residents will need to create a new utility account online as the old account information was not transferred over.
Volunteers at the Longmont Senior Center at 910 Longs Peak Ave. are available Thursday from 3-5 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and Sept. 12 from 3-5 p.m. in room D/E. They will also be there on Sept. 17 from 9-11 a.m. in room E and Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon in room A.
Those seeking help will need to bring the account number on their utility bill, their email address and password and a payment method they plan to use for the account. If patrons do not know their account number they can contact Utility Billing at 303-651-8664 for assistance. Volunteers can also help patrons set up an email address if necessary.
