Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers announced that all Colorado workers in the fried chicken chain will receive a bump in pay beginning Oct. 27.
Today hourly workers will receive a minimum pay of $15 per hour. Hourly managers will see a pay increase to a minimum of $18 per hour.
As of January 2021, Colorado’s minimum wage for non-tipped positions is $12.32 per hour, according to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
“We are so grateful to have been part of the Colorado community for years. While we continue to be a staple for Coloradans, we’ll continue to share in our success with our crew members that make this all possible,” said Jason Zwerin, Raising Cane’s Vice President of Restaurants in a press release.
Cane’s has more than 15 locations throughout Colorado, including one in Longmont. According to the press release, the decision follows the company’s announced expansion plans for 2022 including 100 new restaurants. The company has also announced plans to hire 10,000 new employees over the next 50 days. The company’s total investment in the wage increase will be more than $1.6 million.
