Why early-stage and funded startup businesses fail
Having a cool idea for a startup isn’t enough to get an entrepreneurial venture off the ground. Having a passion for your product is essential, but too much passion might lead you to believe that your product is so good that it will sell itself.
In her presentation, “Your Product Isn’t Going to Sell Itself,” Lori Jones, president and CEO of Avocet Communications, will share the intriguing and winning mindset that entrepreneurs must have in order to achieve a five-fold acquisition income and billion-dollar valuations. It is a mindset that welcomes and embraces taking calculated positioning and marketing risks. In its 40+ year history, Avocet Communications has worked with over 1,200 startup brands, helping them to differentiate and increase demand with their particular audiences.
Jones will address:
● Reasons start-ups and growth-minded businesses fail
● Three ways to get your product or solution more attention
● Must-dos if you don’t want your startup to fizzle
WHEN: November 16, 4 – 6 p.m., including in-person networking and refreshments
WHERE: Avocet Communications, 425 Main Street, Longmont, CO 80501
The event is free, open to all, and limited to the first 30 respondents.
