Free rides to and from the Longmont Farmers Market are available throughout April via RIDE Longmont, the city’s on-demand transportation service. Normally $2 per ride (or $1 for students, seniors, and riders with disabilities), the service is free this month for trips to and from the market in an effort to improve access to fresh, healthy, and local food for all Longmont residents.
The Longmont Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through November 15, rain or shine. The 2025 season began on April 5 and features over 100 vendors who sell seasonal produce, dairy products, and Colorado-raised meats. The market, held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds, is organized by the nonprofit Boulder County Farmers Markets, which supports local agriculture and equitable food access through seasonal markets and a year-round online store.
Free RIDE Longmont trips will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays in April for rides starting or ending at the farmers market. No promo code is needed — the free ride voucher will be applied automatically when requesting a ride on the RIDE Longmont app or by calling 970-538-9097.
RIDE Longmont operates branded minivans that function similarly to Uber, picking riders up at the nearest street corner to their requested location. The service operates from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Riders under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Free parking is also available on site. The market accepts SNAP (EBT) and WIC benefits for purchasing fresh produce.
