FRCC’s MGD Capstone Exhibit
5-9 p.m.
Front Range Community College, 2121 Miller Dr. in the Multicultural Center
The exhibit explores many themes including mental health, self-acceptance, social capital, and self-identity, within the art installations. These designers explore their themes through a variety of mediums from paintings, digital illustration, video, sculpture, poetry, and more. These exhibits will immerse and encourage interaction from the viewer to create a deeper connection to the work and its’ themes.
The capstone is a culmination of work over the Spring 2024 Semester by 7 capstone students, Remick Wise, Oscar Tovar, Bobby Esparza, Hank McLees, Travis Geist, Ian Reid, and Mat Miller. These designers come from diverse backgrounds that have helped inform their work's themes, directions, and mediums. They will explore and display their design skills and artistic vision within their individual 3-piece exhibits.
The event will be an introduction to these individuals and their work as they complete the MGD program and move forward into their promising art and design careers. This 21-piece exhibit is planned and curated collectively by these students with the support of the three MGD program directors across the three FRCC campuses, Maggie Adams, Kristina Robbins, and Blake Welch.
Come out to support and explore the work of these designers. The event is free and open to the public. It will be held at FRCC’s Boulder County Campus 2121 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO (Entrance C4) in the Multicultural Center on Friday April 26 from 5-9 PM.
