NextLight, Longmont’s high-speed fiber-optic service, joins brand names such as Samsung, Sony and Microsoft for attention on the national “Best Tech Brands in 2024” list by PC Magazine.
PC Magazine does not usually review products for Internet service providers, which is how the list is determined, however, the community support garnered by NextLight was “too strong to ignore,” the publication stated in a news release. The support earned NextLight an honorable mention on the list.
“The people of Longmont went above and beyond when scoring their local ISP to make sure we knew exactly how they felt about it, for both work and home use,” the magazine noted, referring to its 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards that ranked NextLight as the top residential and business internet provider with record scores. “The two Net Promoter scores NextLight earns average 99.0. It may not have been enough to make our top 25 by this year’s criteria, but nevertheless, a customer satisfaction level this high is worth mention.”
The PC Magazine list averages scores from product reviews. This year it covered 679 brands and found the top 25. The No. 1 ranked tech brand was Bitdefender, an antimalware service.
