Six units burned in a Sunday morning fire on the 700 block of Collyer Street.

Longmont Public Safety responded to a structure fire around 7 a.m. Sunday. Occupants had already evacuated when responders arrived, according to a release from Longmont Public Safety.

Initial information indicates the fire began in the garage portion of the multifamily property and caused extensive damage to the structure. The adjacent structure to the property sustained minimal damage.

All six units were vacated and are uninhabitable. No occupants were injured.

The cause of the fire was under investigation as of Sunday, with no update immediately available on Monday.
