This event is free and open to the public, however, space is limited to 90 attendees. RSVP can be made on Facebook at this link or by email at [email protected].

The duo will be speaking about the "subject of arming teachers, something that 37 school districts across Colorado have already implemented or are considering," states a press release by Rally for our Rights
"Laura will be giving a presentation to discuss what FASTER has to offer communities, parents, teachers, and other school administrators when it comes to protecting our children in schools," states Rally for our Rights Facebook post.
According to the same Facebook post, "FASTER training enables teachers, administrators and other school employees to stop school violence quickly and administer medical aid immediately. FASTER is not intended as a replacement for Police and EMTs. Instead, it enables on-site personnel to save lives through prompt action."
“In the face of the violent tragedies we’ve witnessed across the nation, I believe it’s time to have a serious conversation about how we can better protect our children in school. I hope that even those who disagree with the concept will attend on August 4th to listen and ask questions. As parents, it is our duty to be informed. School safety is a multi-faceted issue, and we need multi-faceted solutions,” states Lesley Hollywood, event organizer.
