The City of Longmont wants Longmont residents to know that the "St. Vrain Greenway trail is closed from just west of Martin Street eastward, including the trail underpass, to the St. Vrain Greenway trail’s connection with the Left Hand Greenway trail."

The closure is due to construction being done on the Bonus Ditch pump station.

"The Bonus Ditch Company, in coordination with the City of Longmont, is replacing its irrigation ditch diversion on St. Vrain Creek. The diversion structure was completely destroyed in the September 2013 Flood. The new ditch diversion was designed and permitted as part of the Resilient St. Vrain project," states the City of Longmont.

The path is not expected to reopen until April 2019. In the meantime, residents are asked to reference the photo above and note the designated detour path "along Martin Street and the multi-use path just north of Ken Pratt Boulevard."
