Nine COVID-19-related deaths were recorded in Boulder County since Nov. 22, and nearly all were not vaccinated for the virus, a Boulder County Public Health spokesman said Monday.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths to date has climbed to 308, BCPH spokesman Shawn Hollister said. There are 34,810 total cases of COVID-19, according to the BCPH COVID-19 website.

Only one victim in their 80s was living in a long-term care facility and not vaccinated, Hollister said via email. The only vaccinated victim was in their 60s and not living in a long term care facility, Hollister said.

The youngest victim was in their 30s and not vaccinated, Hollister said.

There have also been 211.8 new cases reported in the last seven days, according to the BCPH COVID-19 website.

The seven-day positivity rate for the county is 7%, compared to 6.2% last week, according to the data.

At least 31% of those with newly reported cases of COVID-19 are from Longmont, and 27% hail from Boulder, the data states.
