Winter Passport begins November 12
Pick up a Winter Passport starting on November 12 at participating Downtown businesses for your chance to win some great prizes this holiday season.
Downtown Longmont’s Winter Passport program is easy to participate in – simply pick up a passport at a participating Downtown business, collect passport stickers as you make purchases throughout the holiday season and affix them to your passport pages. Once you have a full page of 10 stickers, fill out the back and turn your passport in to St. Stephen’s Plaza or 320 Main St. By doing this, you will enter in drawings for gift cards to various Downtown gift cards and other prizes from local businesses that will be held periodically throughout the holiday season. The Winter Passport program will end on January 3, 2022.
Participating businesses include A Florae & Archives, Abbot & Wallace Distilling, Bootstrap Brewing, Bricks Retail, Crackpots Pottery Studio, Crystal Joys and more. Click here to see the full list of participating businesses.
The Winter Passport is a way for Downtown Longmont to say thank you for supporting small local businesses. “There is something for everyone Downtown – be sure to shop Downtown and help our local small businesses continue to be here for you this winter.”

River Craft Fair to Help Fight Human Trafficking
Human trafficking continues to increase at epidemic levels around the world. It particularly enslaves children and women, victims of terrible poverty. The River in Lyons, Colorado, partners with two organizations to combat this scourge in Thailand and the Dominican Republic, two countries where trafficking is particularly prevalent. Last year, the COVIDpandemic created extremely tough financial challenges for each of these two organizations. In an effort to raise much needed funds for them, The River is presenting a one-of-a-kind Craft Faire. A wide assortment of masterfully created items will be available for donations. Donated crafts by local artisans include wooden bowls, bird houses, stools, quilted and crocheted items, ornaments and many more. While there will be no specific charge for these, all attendees will be encouraged to make generous, tax deductible donations to support these efforts. All proceeds will go to fight human trafficking — a perfect opportunity to discover unique gifts for the coming holiday season while also making a difference. The River Craft Faire will be held on November 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The River is located at 18668 N St. Vrain Dr. in Lyons, Colorado.
