Letter to the Editor: In support of Joan Peck

Joan provides multi-faceted approaches to an issue that are creative and looks to the future of our dynamic city with optimism and with a spirit of teamwork.
County Fair Parade (32 of 35)
Crowds lined Main Street and Coffman Street for the Boulder County Fair Parade on August 7, themed Cowboy Boots with Family Roots.

I will vote for Joan Peck for Mayor of Longmont because she is honest, cares very much about the welfare of all the residents of our city and follows projects through to their completion using collaboration and creativity.

As other candidates may speak of their visions for the city, as a City Council member, Joan has a proven record of using pragmatic ways to implement her programs.  At the very minimum, these include working with RTD to bring a future rail line to Longmont, in helping to document Longmont’s air and water quality issues and in providing safe lots for homeless folks sleeping in their cars. As both a former teacher, mother, business owner and computer technologist, Joan understands the needs of the working parent, our low income and inadequately housed residents as well as the concerns of business owners and the technology sectors of our economy.

As given in her responses to the housing questions raised by the Longmont Leader recently, Joan provides multi-faceted approaches to an issue that are creative and looks to the future of our dynamic city with optimism and with a spirit of teamwork.

She strives to collaborate with all concerned to arrive at optimal solutions to solve the complex issues of our city and she listens to all of us with her mind, heart and both ears.

Please vote for Joan Peck for Mayor of Longmont.
