The City of Longmont’s annual Spirit of Arbor Day Tree Sale is coordinated for Longmont residents by Forestry Services. A variety of trees are available for purchase at $45 each, which is below wholesale cost. Due to high demand, the sale is conducted as a lottery, running March 4-10. You can view details and enter the lottery online or by calling 303-774-4700.
There is a limit of one entry per resident, with lottery entrants allowed to select up to two alternative species. Residents who get a tree via lottery are notified on Monday, March 11 via email. Each lottery winner is required to accept and pay for the tree by Sunday, March 17. Any lottery trees left unaccepted/unpaid by Sunday, March 17, will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Monday, March 18, at midnight. Trees will be delivered the week of April 22.
