Boulder County residents with disabilities can help identify physical conditions in county facilities that need modifications at a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, Nov 9 at 6 p.m.

The meeting will cover the efforts by Boulder County Public Works on an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan to achieve accessibility as outlined by the ADA, according to a Boulder County news release.

The goal of the update process is to ensure that current and future facilities such as buildings, parks, trailheads and other facilities are accessible and usable by qualified people with disabilities, the news release states.

A current draft plan for the Transition Plan is available on the country’s project webpage at https://boco.org/transition-plan.

The presentation on Nov. 9 will be on Zoom and registration is required.

To register for the meeting, go to https://boco.org/transition-plan.

County staff and the project consultant will present the draft plan, answer questions and collect feedback, the news release states. ASL interpretation is provided.

A survey to collect feedback on the Transition Plan is available in English and Spanish on the project webpage. The survey will be available until Sunday, Nov, 21.

For more information, residents can contact Andrew Barth, Public Works Communication, at [email protected] or call 303-441-1032.
