City Council will be holding a regular session tomorrow, Wednesday May 23, 2017, starting at 7pm.  The current agenda consists of:

Proclamations:

A Proclamation designating June 2, 2017 as "National Gun Violence Awareness Day". The Longmont Chapter of Everytown for Gun Safety/Moms Demand Action sponsored the proclamation.

Recognitions: 

Lynn Hannapel, a 5th grade teacher at Indian Peaks Elementary School, will be recognized as the winner of the "Lessons On Local Government Creating Effective Citizens Teacher Award". The award is given to an educator that embodies the goal of Lessons on Local Government by connecting students and local government.

Ordinances:

O-2017-30: An Ordinance Authorizing The Issuance Of The City Of Longmont Electric And Broadband Utility Enterprise Revenue Bonds, Series 2017 (Public Hearing And Second Reading Scheduled For June 13, 2017).

O-2017-31: A Bill For An Ordinance Directing City Staff To Process An Application For Outside Water Service On Quail Road, At Parcel No. 131514000032 (St. Vrain Valley School District's Innovation Center) (Public Hearing And Second Reading Scheduled For June 13, 2017).

O-2017-32: A Bill For An Ordinance Amending Chapter 11.04 Of The Longmont Municipal Code Regarding A Traffic Safety Surcharge (Public Hearing And Second Reading Scheduled For June 13, 2017).

O-2017-33: A Bill For An Ordinance Amending Title 9, Chapter 9.50 Of The Longmont Municipal Code Regarding Illegal Methamphetamine Laboratories (Public Hearing And Second Reading Scheduled For June 13, 2017).

O-2017-34: A Bill For An Ordinance Amending Chapter 16.08 Of The Longmont Municipal Code To Adopt, By Reference, The 2017 Edition Of The National Electrical Code (Public Hearing And Second Reading Scheduled For June 13, 2017).

Resolutions: 

R-2017-51, A Resolution Of The Longmont City Council Approving The Revocable Permit And Agreement Between The City And Union Sailing Club For Sailing Facilities At Union Reservoir.

R-2017-52, A Resolution Of The Longmont City Council Approving The Intergovernmental Agreement Between The City And The Colorado Department Of Transportation For Grant Funding For A Study For Operational Improvements At Major Corridors And Intersections In Southwest Longmont.

R-2017-53, A Resolution Of The Longmont City Council Recognizing The Importance Of Protecting And Supporting Pollinators In The City Of Longmont.

R-2017-54, A Resolution Of The Longmont City Council Approving The Revocable Permit And Agreement Between The City And Bee Squared For Beekeeping Operations At Sandstone Ranch.

Other

City Council is also anticipated to make appointments to the vacant positions on the Visit Longmont Board.
