The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC) welcomed Medicine Man into Longmont with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Sally Vander Veer, one of the owners and founders of Longmont's Medicine Man location, was introduced to give a few words before the cutting of the ribbon.
Vander Veer told attendees of the long road to opening a shop in Longmont. "It's amazing to see other business owners coming to help other business others so thank you for coming. As many of you know, Medicine Man won one of the four competitive licenses offered by Longmont. That was a big deal for us. It was a very tough competition and we worked our butts off to get this dispensary licenses. We were very proud and excited that this happened," she said.
Chief Executive Officer Veer continued to address what makes them different from other stores in town. "Excellent customer service, a warm atmosphere and a very inviting and safe place to come and purchase cannabis. Business has steadily increased. Word-of-mouth in Longmont is a powerful thing, " she said.
Medicine Man donates to local charities and team members are encouraged to volunteer in the area.
Kevin Puckett of LACC Board of Directors, presented a plaque on behalf of 780 Chamber members to Veer and team, to commemorate the event.
