Discover Longmont Tours, in partnership with Brew Hop Trolley, a local “hop on/hop off” brewery tour, celebrated the “Discover Longmont Food Tour” at a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, December 4, 2017.
Brian Berry, board chair of the LACC, presented Jennifer Ferguson, Discover Longmont Tours, and David Lewis, Brew Hop Trolley, with a plaque to commemorate the event.
Ferguson and Lewis spoke frequently of using their combined knowledge of local business to create a tour that would showcase the restaurants of Longmont until finally, they decided, “Let’s just do this!”
Ferguson added that “marketing can be really challenging. So our main purpose was to get butts in seats at the great restaurants here in Longmont. The way we wanted to do that was by having a guided food tour.”
The “Discover Longmont Food Tour” is every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The ride includes food and drinks as well as an introduction to the owners and operators of the various restaurants.
