Crossroads School, a faith-based alternative school for middle and high school students, is moving from its current location at 402 Kimbark Street Longmont, inside Central Presbyterian Church.
The new location for the school will be at FaithPoint Church at 833 15th Street, just west of Main Street.
Crossroads School will take over the space previously dedicated to what used to be Faith Baptist School.
The new facility is only two blocks from the bus route, which is important for the students who use this method of transportation.
The school needed to expand after adding a new class last school year, which caused them to outgrow the space they were occupying.
The move will introduce new opportunities for the students including access to a dedicated science lab, a secure outdoor space, basketball court, a soccer field, and access to a gym. The school itself will also gain additional classroom space and more room in the hallway.
School is scheduled to begin on August 13 and Crossroads School is organizing efforts to get things moved and set up prior to students entering the doors.
