If you are 65 years old or better and have been living in your Boulder County home for the last 10 consecutive years, you could qualify for a reduction in your property tax payment!
We know that property values have been going up the last few years and therefore property taxes have increased. To help seniors with the payment, the Senior Homestead Property Tax Exemption might be an option.
If you think you are eligible for the program, you must sign up before July 15 in order for it to be considered on the next year's tax bill. Visit www.BoulderCountySeniorExemption.org to see more details and watch a short informational video about the program. You can also call the Assessor's Office at 303-441-3530 to ask more questions.
Also, be on the lookout for invitations to upcoming community meetings to talk about this option and other senior services to help save money.
