Boulder County Transportation, in partnership with Weld County, the City of Longmont, and the Town of Erie, are developing a corridor master plan for East County Line (ECL) Road / Weld County Road (WCR) 1. The master plan will guide future improvements along a 12-mile stretch of the road between State Highway (SH) 66 on the north and Jay Road on the south.

The public is invited to attend an open house to review options for future improvements, visit with staff, and provide input into the process. Learn more at http://www.eastcountylineroad.com/.

"East County Line Road is a critical thoroughfare for the residents of Boulder County, Weld County, Longmont, and Erie. The road is overdue for improvement, but the multiple owners, variation in land uses, and changing demographics makes it difficult for any one agency to address issues,” said Tim Swope, capital improvement projects coordinator for Boulder County Transportation. “This master plan is a great opportunity for all four agencies to work together to develop a cohesive plan of action on what we want to do, where we want to do it, and who needs to be involved in any proposed future improvement. We look forward to working with the public to identify the needs and constraints along the entire nine-mile corridor."
