Sharon Lynne Ricci, 88, passed away on February 6, 2022 at her home in Loveland, Colorado. She passed peacefully in her sleep with her two beloved dogs, Fergie and Mary Lou, by her side. She is survived by daughters Jacque Ricci and Jerri Huval, granddaughter Marisol Valdez, grandsons Jared Ricci and John Gordon Wilson and great-granddaughter’s Alexis Valdez, Olivia Valdez and Zailyn Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothea (Dorothy) Jones and J. Elmo Tucker, her husbands Richard Albright and John Ricci and her son John Ricci Jr.
Sharon was born in Elkhart, Kansas in 1933. Her family then moved to Creede, Colorado where she spent several happy years of her childhood. The family later moved to Clovis, New Mexico where she finished her remaining school years. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Clovis. After John Sr.’s death in 1986, she became a realtor and worked in real estate and property management prior to moving to Colorado to retire in 1995. Sharon loved needlework of all kinds but especially enjoyed quilting. She left behind many beautiful quilts that the family will treasure for years to come.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned for the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a veterans assistance organization or an animal rescue organization in her memory.
