February 18, 1939 - January 24, 2022

Bob Hodapp was born on February 18, 1939 to Lydia (Velder) Glissman and Leonard Kirchner. He was adopted on August 20, 1939 by Walter and Magdalena (Schwery) Hodapp. He has two brothers, Eldon & Marvin; two sisters, Janice Beauchamp and MaryEllen Brich; and his biological sister, Karen Theim (deceased). Bob was baptized and confirmed at Saint Michaels Catholic Church, Harlan, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Shelby High School. Bob spent many years working on the family farm before enlisting in the Navy to serve his country.

On October 29, 1960, Bob was united in marriage to Arlene Schmitz at Saint Boniface Catholic Church, Westphalia, IA. They were blessed to have five children; Lori, Brent, JeriLynn, Warren and Wendy. They lived in Iowa until Easter Sunday of 1964, then moved to Denver, Colorado.

Bob spent most of his life in the Electrical Business. He was a member of the Elks and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Bob enjoyed fishing, playing poker, camping, family, friends, being with his grandchildren but most of all he enjoyed Flying. As we all know, he always had two hours to spare.

Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years Arlene of Erie, CO; daughter Lori Hunninghake (Owasso, OK) her husband Tim, two sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter; son Brent (Northwood, IA) his wife Joanne, two sons and daughter-in-law; daughter JeriLynn Greenwood (Conifer, CO) her husband Christopher, daughter and three sons; son Warren (Thornton, CO) wife Melissa, son, two daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter; daughter Wendy Hoit (Brighton, CO) her husband Robert and son.

A Christian Burial will be held at 11:00a.m. on February 2, 2022 at Saint Scholastica Catholic Church, 575 Wells St. Erie, CO. Interment / burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 520 Colliers Blvd.

An invitation is extended to relatives and friends to join the family at Colorado National Golf Club (Vista Ridge Clubhouse), 2700 Vista Parkway, Erie, CO. at the close of the committal service at the cemetery.
