Patrick Douglas McFarlane 64 of Longmont, Colorado formally of Spencer, Iowa passed away May 4, 2024, at the University Hospital of Denver, Colorado.
Patrick was the fourth and youngest child of Jacob McFarlane and Deloris and Clarence Schweitzer of Spencer, Iowa. Patrick was born in Riverside, California on August 26, 1959. He lived there for a few years before moving to Newton, Iowa, and finally Spencer, Iowa. Patrick graduated from Spencer High School in 1977. He loved to play jokes on everyone including his teachers. Patrick moved back to California before moving to Colorado. He loved Colorado and being in the mountains. He had a passion for cooking, gardening, and hiking in the mountains.
Patrick is survived by his children, Travis, Amber, Alisha and Autumn. Also left to cherish is memory is his Stepfather Clarence Schweitzer of Spencer, Sister Babette (Bill) Kollasch of Spencer, Brother Jacob (Arlinda) of Amarillo, Texas, Brother Mike (Lin) Schweitzer of Spencer, his best friend Kevin Swancutt of Spencer, and many family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his Father Jacob, Mother Deloris, his Grandparents, Martha Anderson, Edward and Frieda Anderson, Jacob and Florence McFarlane
