Margaret (Peggy) L. Toteve, 91, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 9, 2020.
She was born in La Salle, Colorado to John and Gladys Engel on November 3, 1928. She graduated from Mountain High and briefly attended the Colorado State College of Education at Greeley (UNC).
She was married to John Evan Toteve, Jr. on December 28, 1947. They shared over 50 beautiful years together. Peggy was a devoted housewife for many years, raising her three children. In the early 1960s, she and John became owners of Triangle Billiard Supply in Denver, Colorado. They successfully operated this business for over 30 years.
Peggy was a member of Lifebridge Christian Church and the Rocky Mountain Region Plymouth Car Owner’s Club. She and John enjoyed many years of collecting and showing a wide variety of vintage Plymouth cars.
As a teenager, Peggy was involved in numerous sporting events. She was especially proud of her grand slam home run at Denver City Park which lead her local softball team to victory. She later became an avid bowler and loved doing puzzles and crossword puzzles.
Peggy is survived by her children Jerilyn Wall, John Toteve III, and Terry Toteve (Linda); her grandchildren Michelle Brigman (Ryan) and Erin Toteve; and her great-grandson Cooper James Brigman. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
