Lloyd Thomas Zock Jr., aged 79, passed away peacefully at Medical Center of the Rockies on December 31, 2022.

Lloyd was born February 15, 1943 in Cresson, PA to Lloyd and Mary Zock. He was the oldest of four children.

After graduation from high school, Lloyd joined the Navy. He spent his time on the USS Galveston as a missile technician. Upon leaving the Navy he settled in Washington DC where he met the love of his life, Emily. On August 7, 1965 they were married. They were blessed with three beautiful children, Renee, Douglas and Jeffrey. The family grew with seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Lloyd and Emily were happily married and in love for 57 years.

Lloyd’s greatest joy was always his family. He loved to hold his grandchildren and you could often find him with a sleeping one or two by his side.

He joined IBM in 1965 as a Customer Engineer fixing and maintaining main frames. Throughout the years he did much traveling with the company. An opportunity to move to Boulder and set up a Support Center brought his family to Colorado. He worked for 30 years with IBM. His last work experience was at Lowe’s in Loveland, where he worked with great people and formed many friendships.

Llyod was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Also, an active member of the Knights of Columbus where he served as treasurer.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Emily; three children, Renee (Ken) Mills, Douglas (Mary Lynn) Zock, and Jeffrey (Liza) Zock; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Theo, Courtney, Delainey, Ellianna, Dalton, and Emma; four great grandchildren, Logan, Greysen, Layton, and Kailer.; and two siblings, Mary Jane McManus and Judy Casey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores.

Lloyd lived a beautiful life and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
