LEE BENTLEY of Boulder, CO age 82, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2021. Born in Ravenna, MI to the late Charles and Hazel (Kruger) Bentley, Lee is survived by her four children Denise (John) Coe of Frederick, CO, Vinton “Rob” (Brenda) Morey of Berthoud, CO, Tanya (James) Petty of Boulder, CO, Stephanie Morey of Westminster, CO; her four grandchildren Timothy Petty, Joshua Petty, David Petty and Elizabeth Petty; her sister Lynne (Michael) VanLoon of Ravenna her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Harry and Carol Morey of Ravenna, and extended family.
Lee married her high school sweetheart the late Jesse Morey in 1956. Lee was an artist from the age of four and began following her passion by attending art classes in Kalamazoo, MI. She exhibited art at the Gilmore Museum in Kalamazoo, the University of Colorado, and several small venues. She worked in criminal justice with first-time offenders and earned a master’s degree in Psychology at Naropa University in Boulder. She enjoyed live music with friends, fresh flowers, travel, and even lived abroad for a short time in the early 70’s.
She will be dearly missed.
