 LaRue J. Perkins was born at home on September 12, 1929 to parents Lee Edgar Perkins and Emma Magdaline Schmidt -Perkins in Beulah, ND.

   After graduating from Beulah High School in 1947, she started her career in Waukesha, WI as a billing clerk. She then went to work for Missouri Valley Motors in Bismarck, ND. In 1956, she settled in Billings, MT, where she was employed as an accountant by Carter Oil Company. The accounting office was closed in Billings, so she was transferred to Tulsa, OK with the company. In 1966 she transferred with the company to Houston, TX. Carter Oil changed names multiple times, from Carter Oil to Humble Oil, to Enco, to Exxon Corporation. In 1986, she retired from Exxon and moved to Loveland, CO.

   LaRue was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a member of CCW. She volunteered for events such as the Sculpture Park event every August, and many other activities. Her passion was traveling. She had been all over the world, and to every state in the U.S. except for Ohio. She loved to meet with her groups for card games, Dominoes, and Pinochle, etc.

   LaRue is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Emma Perkins, and brother, Arlen Lee Perkins.

   She is survived by sister, Penny A. Perkins-Baker (John), brother, Ray. W. Perkins (Claudia), niece, Tracy Perkins Sanchez (Sid), nephew, Travis Perkins (Ann), great-nephew, Garrett Perkins, great-niece Medora Perkins, great nephew, Gabriel Perkins, and great-nephew, Josiah Sanchez.

   Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N. Lincoln Ave. Loveland, CO 80537 from 2:00-4:00 PM, followed by The Rosary. Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1730 W. 12th St. Loveland, CO 80537, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Luncheon to follow. Burial will be at Olivet Cemetery in Cheyenne, WY.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Catholic School in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
