Joyce Mildred (Roth) Weston, age 89, left this world on July 4, 2021, amid the fireworks, in Longmont, Colorado surrounded by family.
Joyce was beautiful, kind and fun loving. She grew up in Buffalo, NY in a lively household with five brothers. Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Charles E. Weston Jr. Together they had five children and moved the family to Clarence, NY. Her husband passed away in 1978, and she raised the younger children on her own. She lost her son Charles E. Weston III in 1986. Joyce retired to Florida in the early 90's and enjoyed golfing and living near the beach before moving to Boulder, Colorado in 2005 to be with her younger grandchildren.
Joyce was glamorous and loved fashion. She worked at dress and bridal shops where she delighted in sharing style insights and finding the perfect ensembles for her customers. Joyce was an avid gardener, golfer, and tennis player who remained a Buffalo Bills fan all her life. She adored babies, young children and teenagers. Joyce was truly present for her family and friends, maybe with a glass of fine wine. In later years, she prioritized spending time with her grandchildren and made each one feel very special. Joyce was known as "Fun Grandma" due to her penchant for mischief making and silly gifts. You could recognize her home from far-off by the yard full of kitschy holiday decorations, Halloween being a favorite.
Joyce lived her life to the fullest, persevered in the face of adversity and never lost her sense of humor. She was not afraid to color outside the lines. We cherish and honor her memory. She set a fine example of how life should be lived. Joyce is survived by her Children: Timothy Weston, Gregory Weston (Judy), Barry Weston (Linda), Mary Joe Weston (Erik Gilbert). Grandchildren: William (Kristin), Cameron, Natalie, Griffin, Zachary, Carsten, and Severin. Great Grandchildren: Avery and Henry. Brothers: Thomas, David (Marilyn) and Bruce(Patricia) Roth. A Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held on October 2, 2021, in Clarence, NY.
