April 12, 1941 - August 22, 2023

 Jennie Lu (Scoles) Bauer, of Longmont, CO, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, in the presence of her loving husband Wayne on August 22, 2023.

     Jennie was born April 12, 1941, in Cheyenne, WY to Morris and Marguerite (Cornell) Scoles. In 1952, after the passing of her father, her family moved to Loveland, CO. She attended Loveland High School where she met her future husband, Wayne Bauer.  Jennie married Wayne in Biloxi, MS where Wayne was stationed in the Air Force, on June 20th, 1959. They moved to Longmont in 1963 where they raised their 2 children. 

     Jennie loved to study the Bible. She was involved in numerous bible studies throughout her life.  Wayne and Jennie were members of Calvary Baptist Church for 58 years where they made deep and meaningful relationships; at the church Jennie was a Sunday School teacher and was involved in MOPS - all the children just loved her.   She also volunteered at Longmont United Hospital with Wayne. Her love and commitment to her family was unwavering and strong. She was always very patient, kind, and loving.

     Jennie also had a great love for her friends, autumn leaves, sunsets, and traveling back East to historic places. Her favorite trip was with Wayne when they traveled to the Boston Area.

     Jennie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wayne Bauer, of Longmont: her daughter Kristi (Steve) Wirtz of Firestone: her daughter Amy Bauer of Longmont: 5 grandchildren: Ryan (Desiree) Froshaug of Longmont: Anna (Chris) Hood of Loveland: Alexis Bauer of Longmont: Emily (Tyler) Rose of Windsor: Bea Moore of Longmont: She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Ella, Felix, Mason, Adalynn, Daphne and Ava: and niece Cheryl Gallegos of Cornelius, OR. 

     Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 p.m., Tuesday August 29, 2023 at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.  Graveside Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30th at Loveland Burial Park, followed by a Memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Longmont Calvary Baptist Church.
