Longtime Stratton, Colorado resident Henrietta Helen (Herrmann)Schulte passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Morningstar assisted living in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was 97 years old. Henrietta was born on the family homestead in Hodgeman County Kansas on April 21st, 1923 to Henry and Mary Elizabeth Herrmann. She was the oldest of seven siblings. She was very active in 4-H. She often won ribbons for her canning projects. At the age of 15 she was called to her aunt and uncle’s farm in Syracuse Kansas to help them with the children, farm and household chores.

Following this venture she continued to help several community families with child rearing and daily activities. Raymond began courting Henrietta when he returned from military service in WWII. Henrietta married Raymond Schulte at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dodge City, Kansas on January 24, 1950. After they were married, they moved to a farm near Arriba, Colorado. In 1962, they moved to a farm and ranch three miles southwest of Stratton so that the children could attend St. Charles Academy. She was a homemaker and mother to nine children. Henrietta was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, SHS school activities and local chapter of MSA(Mental and Social Advancement). She enjoyed sewing and quilting, for her children and grandchildren. After raising their family and many years in the Stratton community.

They retired and moved to Worthington Independent Living Facility of Fort Collins. They enjoyed puzzles, cards, games, and activities. They were active members of the Blessed John the 23rd Catholic church. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents, daughter Rita Ann Erber, grandsons Brian and Curtis Schulte, great granddaughter Mia Grace Schulte, brothers George (Pauline), Joe (Rosemary), Lawrence ,her sister, Sister Barbara Ann. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Henry Schulte (Mary Norma), Bernard Schulte (Elfrieda), Joseph Schulte (Clara), John Schulte (Leona), Clarence Schulte (Wilma Jean), sister-in-laws Margaret Stegman (Bill) and Sister Sylvana Schulte. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Edward (Becky) Schulte of Goodland, Kansas and children Kyle (Taylor), Kevin (Alyssa), and Korey (Amy); Lois (Charles Morrow)Tilley of Littleton, Colorado and her children Brenda, Jacob (Christine), Darin, and Laura; Charles (Lois) Schulte of Bethune, Colorado and their children Keith (April), Shawn (Tawnya), Ryan (Malinda), Angela (Andy), Alexis and Kimberlie; Allen (Mary) Schulte of Stratton, Colorado, and their children Matthew, Marque and Morgan; Ramona Wagner of Sterling, Colorado and her children Jason and Samantha; Marcia (Richard) Stauter of Greeley, Colorado and their children Alexander, Rita and Amy; Dennis (Cathy) Schulte of Eaton, Colorado and their children Grant, Megan and Chad; Robert (Colleen) Schulte of Fort Collins, Colorado and their children Quinn, Nicholas and Jack; and twenty-five great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters Elizabeth Loibl and Clara (Charles) Schmitt and sister-in-law Betty Herrmann. Memorials may be made to the St. Charles Calvary Cemetery in Henrietta's memory and may be left at or sent to Love Funeral Home, 377 15th Street, Burlington, Colorado 80807.
