October 5, 1942 - February 11, 2022

Glen Earl McCain died on Friday, February 11th while at his home in Thornton, Colorado. Glen was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa on October 5, 1942. Glen lived in Iowa most of his younger years, then he moved to Missouri where he met his present wife Beverly, and finally to Colorado.

Glen did two tours in Vietnam during the war, one of which he did to keep his brother from having to go. When he came home after serving his country, he became an over-the-road truck driver. He loved driving trucks and seeing the country. When he moved to Colorado he went to work for the City of Broomfield where he worked until he retired when he was 64. Glen was a loving family man who loved his family dearly. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, riding 4-wheelers and most importantly, gold panning. His nickname was “Lucky Dog” because he always seemed to find gold. He enjoying sharing this hobby with others and even showed a group of girl scouts in Hawaii how to pan for gold. Glen liked to tell anyone who would listen how to pan for gold.

Glen was a loving and simple man who really knew no stranger. He would help anyone who needed help with anything. Glen also liked to talk about some of the old cars he had fixed up in his past. Glen also liked to give everyone a hard time, but only in fun-he was a fun man. He will be dearly missed in life by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Garold McCain, his stepdad Art Kain, his mom Genevieve Kain and his son Robert Richie. He is survived by his wife Beverly McCain, his brother Don McCain (Candy McCain), his sister Rita Saine, his daughter Angela Caputa, his son Tim McCain, his daughter Eva Kenfield, his daughter Aaron and his grandchildren Reece Richie, Kenny Kenfield, Matthew Richie, David Caputa, Taryn McCain, Tiffany Kenfield, Alyssa Caputa, Taylor McCain, Chance Richie and Kyrie Richie.

Services will be held at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield Colorado at 11:00AM on the 21st of February. Burial will be in Louisville Cemetery after the service.
