March 18, 1930 - December 25, 2020

Evan Wride, amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on December 25, 2020. He was born in American Fork, Utah to Elwyn and Margaret Wride on March 18, 1930. He and Loa moved to Colorado from St. George, Utah, three years ago.

He is survived by the love of his life, Loa Bowen Wride; his sons, Blake Wride and Dean Wride; his daughters, Loralee Carnahan and Janell Newman; his brothers, Hayward Wride and Dale Wride; his sister, Norma Steiner and their spouses and children which include 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Evan was an elementary school teacher for 39 years where he touched the lives of so many young children. As well, Evan served as a Sergeant in the Korean War, receiving two bronze service stars – and he played the tuba in the Army band as well. He was a great story teller and could remember details that no one else could. He enjoyed working in his yard and restoring old furniture, turning it into something beautiful and new.

And mostly, Evan enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren

Evan was faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
