June 8, 1960 ~ January 25, 2021 (age 60)
Christine Bannon was born on June 8, 1960 in Newport Beach, California. She went to high school at Costa Mesa High School and enjoyed being on the drill team. She loved the beach and the outdoors. Chris lived with her mother, Eleanor, in San Marcos, California. Life's journeys brought Chris to San Luis Obispo, California to enjoy the beautiful nature in central California that included hiking and camping. She loved working with the high school students at church, and she loved being a homemaker. After a few years, Chris moved back to southern California and lived in the city of Orange where she could be closer to her mother, brother, sister, and niece.
Chris still enjoyed the outdoors and nature, especially the beach. Life's journeys resulted in a move to Colorado. Chris fell in love with the beauty and nature of Colorado, and she decided to stay in Colorado to enjoy the seasons that California did not have. She missed the beaches in California, so every time she visited her family in California during the summer and at Christmas, she was sure to visit her favorite beaches. In the late 90's, Chris found love and married Robert (Bob) Lindenmuth, who also loved the seasons and nature, especially the snow for skiing. Bob taught Chris to ski, and she enjoyed something she never thought she could do. Chris enjoyed working as a receptionist in Bob’s dental office. Sadly, Bob passed away suddenly in the mid-2000's. Chris continued to enjoy nature and the outdoors as often as possible, and she continued to work in administrative positions as she was able.
Chris was a mother to many fur babies, her beloved kitties. Chris had a passion for her kitties. Even her email address was the names of two of her kitties- Tigger and Lily. She said in her will that all proceeds from the sale of her household furniture was to be donated to an animal charity.
The highlights of Chris' week was often attending church on Sunday and her ladies Bible study during the week. She loved the Lord and desired to study the Bible and worship the Lord. She was just like her mother, Eleanor, who loved to read the Bible and go to church. Chris and her mother had a special bond as they supported each other through the journeys of life by praying for each other and for our whole family. Eleanor lived with Chris in Longmont at times, desiring to spend quality time with her daughter.
Chris was always a joy with a fighting spirit against every medical challenge she faced. She was a tough cookie! She was born with a hole in her heart and low white blood cell count, so she was in surgery after surgery as a baby and throughout her life. She was on a plethora of medication from birth to death, like a list long enough to fill a whole page! The doctors said she would not get past her teen years, and boy, did she prove them wrong when she turned 60!Chris had a lot of prayer behind her for every surgery and medical procedure. Our family prayed for Chris her whole life. We knew that every moment with Chris was precious. She had so many close calls, and we really celebrated each Christmas or each birthday with her, another year of blessings with her.
Our beloved little Chris went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2021. Her little body couldn’t keep fighting after breaking both legs and an arm on January 14. A blood clot to her lungs was the final blow. We can have joy in that we know without a doubt that she is in heaven with a new body! She loved the Lord and worshiped Him with all her heart.
Please pray for our family. We are all heartbroken as we grieve this great loss. We will miss her smile and laughter, her joy that rose above every difficult circumstance, and her sweet and kind spirit. We have joy that Chris is in heaven with Jesus.
Chris is survived by her sister, Nancy Martin and her husband David, brother David Bannon and his wife Sushila, niece DeAnna Martin and her husband Carey, nephew Mike Woods and his wife Dawn and their two children, and two fur babies- her kitties.
Chris’ body will be placed next to her late husband Bob’s body in Longmont, Colorado, on February 5, 2021. Chris' eternity is in heaven, and she will forever live in our hearts.
