Aurora “Pauline” Tovar, 89, passed away on January 22, 2022. Pauline was born July 13, 1932 in Johnstown, Colorado. She was the firstborn of Pedro and Jovita Esparza. She was the oldest of two sisters and three half-brothers.
She married Baltasar (Walter) Tovar in 1949. They had three sons: Richard (Deborah) Tovar, Gerald Tovar, Walter Tovar, one daughter Grace (Jerry) Tovar-Maestas, and a step-daughter Helen (Bud) Tovar-Cone. Pauline’s husband died in November 1985, preceded by the death Helen (Tovar) Cone, Phyllis (Cone) Milburn and Deborah Ann (Barr) Tovar.
Pauline is survived by her children and grandchildren: Chris and (Michelle Adams) Tovar, Arbrie (Jason) Tovar-Johnson, Hillary Tovar, Marshal Tovar, Kyle Milon, Jeremy Maestas, and Jonathan (Allyson) Maestas, Crystal (Rob) Cone-Jones. She was loved by her many Great -grandchildren: Brett, Johnathan and Quentin Tovar, Noah and Rylie Johnson, Wade and Kate Wagner, Aurora Tovar, Isabel, Maisyn and Try Maestas, Sharya Maestas, Sam and Preston Jones, and great-great-grandchildren.
Pauline was the matriarch of the family and took pride in her immaculate home. Pauline was a very spiritual woman and always prayed for many. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She loved gardening, enjoyed crocheting, and hand embroidery. She was known for her beautiful lawn-flowers. Her dog, “Daisy”, brought so much joy to her life.
Pauline will be forever missed, but her legacy will carry on through her beloved family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31st from 3-5:00 p.m. Interment Loveland Burial Park.
