NEWS RELEASE
CITY OF LONGMONT
*************************

Starting the first week of May, Longmont Public Library cardholders will be able to reserve or swap out their currently checked out device for an upgraded Wi-Fi hotspot. Swapped out Wi-Fi hotspots will renew for an additional week.

The Library’s Wi-Fi hotspots are small electronic devices (about the size of a smartphone) that allow you to connect to the internet from your home. Each kit contains a Wi-Fi hotspot, power cord and traveling case. Patrons may check out a device for one week with a possible renewal of an additional week.

During the transition to the new devices, the Library’s current Wi-Fi hotspots will stop connecting to the internet. Please call the Library at 303-651-8470 to find out how you can swap the device for the upgraded hotspots. If a current hotspot is not returned within 60 days of the checkout date, it will be considered lost or stolen and a fine of $75 will be applied to the patron’s account.

Visit bit.ly/LibComputing (and scroll to the bottom of the page) to see more information and find out how you can reserve an upgraded hotspot.
