NEWS RELEASE
SINGER FOR BOULDER COUNTY CAMPAIGN
*************************
Boulder County Commissioner candidate Jonathan Singer has earned the endorsement of the St. Vrain Valley Education Association. In a letter, the SVVEA board president said, “Over the years, Jonathan is a proven advocate and supporter of public education, our school district, students, and teachers. His voting record in the Colorado Legislature is impeccable around public education and what’s best for our students and schools. But what makes Jonathan stand from other politicians is he literally walks his talk. We’ve had the honor of having Jonathan join SVVEA on numerous pro-education door knocking campaigns that assisted us in transforming SVVSD into one of the state’s premier school districts. Both SVVEA and the Colorado Education Association consistently provide Representative Singer high marks for his pro-labor support for higher wages, better working conditions, and support for working families. Jonathan is also a proven leader in advocating for much needed mental health supports for the growing needs of our students and community. SVVEA is proud to support and endorse Jonathan Singer for Boulder County Commissioner. His compassion and proven track record in the Colorado Legislature are what Boulder County requires to meet the needs of an ever-changing county.”

Singer is also supported by the Sierra Club, Congressman Joe Neguse, Secretary of State Jena Griswold, and hundreds of other progressive leaders in Boulder County. The list can be found here: https://www.singerforbouldercounty.com/supporters.

“It’s humbling that the teachers who serve our community and who I have worked with for more than eight years are supporting my campaign for commissioner” said Singer. “I will continue to fight for educators, for better wages, and making sure that county employees including Head Start teachers have the right to organize. Most importantly, we can work together to improve our human services and mental health treatment to improve student outcomes and make sure kids are better ready to learn.”
