Seagate® Technology plc (NASDAQ: STX), a world leader in data storage infrastructure solutions, today announced that it will donate $200,000 to the Community Foundation of Boulder County following the devastating Colorado wildfire on December 30 that burned 6,200 acres and destroyed approximately 1,000 homes and several businesses. 

“Seagate’s presence and strong support in the Longmont and the Boulder communities span more than 25 years,” said Patricia Frost, senior vice president of human resources, internal communications, and community engagement for Seagate. “The fire was devastating to so many, and this donation is one way to demonstrate that we are here for our colleagues and neighbors today as well as in the weeks and months ahead.” 

“We continue to receive an outpouring of support from our community and beyond," said Tatiana Hernandez, CEO Community Foundation Boulder County. "Seagate's support allows us, working closely with our government partners, to immediately disburse funds and assist those directly affected by the fires.” 

The Community Foundation of Boulder County is the primary clearinghouse and go-to center for relief following the fire. Recognized by local media and government officials, it has been creative and thoughtful in the support it is providing victims, including offering pre-loaded debit cards for home essentials, as well as medical, banking, car rental, childcare services, and hotel accommodations, to name a few. For more about the foundation or other ways to help, please visit commfound.org
