We have been so happy to see so many returning families, as well as new families joining us for Discovery Days art, music, and movement classes! Let's see what is coming up next!
Our theme next week (September 20, 21, 22, & 23) is Dinosaurs!
About Discovery Days
- Ages 2–6 with an adult
- $4 for each child member, $4.50 for each child non-member
- Attend a session that fits your schedule—no registration needed
Discovery Days is an early childhood program that encourages children ages 2 to 6 and their caregivers to engage together in educational, hands-on art, music, and movement activities. When you attend Discovery Days with your child, you help them cultivate important school-readiness skills, such as language development, attention, concentration, fine motor skills, emotional regulation, and play and social abilities.
Discovery Days Music & Movement
- Tuesdays; Classroom C
- Sept. 13 – Dec. 6
- 9–10:15 a.m., 10:30–11:45 a.m., 12:30–1:45 p.m.
Children and their parents and caregivers can enjoy moving to music together!
Discovery Days Art
- With Ms. Leigh
- Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays; Classroom AB
- Sept. 7 – Dec. 9
- 9–10:15 a.m., 10:30–11:45 a.m., 12:30–1:45 p.m.
Discovery Days Art is moving back into the big classroom AB that we enjoyed most of last spring! This classroom is halfway down the education hall; you'll see the sign!
On Friday, Sept. 23, we will be joined by some nice representatives from Mental Health Partners for all three sessions that day. They will have lots of helpful resources to support mental health and development for families, adults, and children.

Discovery Days Scholarships
Scholarships are available for Discovery Days thanks to support from the Dodge Family Fund and the Stewart Family Foundation!

Each child who is awarded a scholarship will receive a free 10-pass punch card to be used in Discovery Days classes. Scholarship punch cards can be issued digitally and can be renewed!

Big Kid Days
For children up to age 11 on late start or no school days in the SVVSD. Regular fees apply.
Late Start:
Wednesdays, Sept. 7, Nov. 2, and Dec. 7, 9 a.m.–10:15 a.m.
No School:
Friday, Oct. 14, all sessions.
Fees per child: $4 member, $4.50 nonmember.
10-pack punch card: $35 member, $40 nonmember.
