NEWS RELEASE
ELEVATIONS CREDIT UNION
*************************
With Colorado’s historic wildfire season, Elevations Credit Union is helping people displaced by wildfires by matching donations made to Elevations Foundation’s newly created Wildfire Relief Fund through Oct. 31.
The credit union has committed to matching up to $100,000 total. The goal is to provide $200,000 to help those displaced in Boulder and Larimer counties.
“Elevations steps up every time there’s a community need, and we know many of our neighbors are affected by these destructive wildfires,” said Dennis Paul, vice president of Community Affairs for Elevations Credit Union. “We truly appreciate the support of our members and community as we work to hit our goal of $200,000 to aid those displaced.”
Anyone — not just Elevations members — who would like to contribute a gift of any size can donate. Elevations Credit Union will match donations made through Oct. 31, up to $100,000 total. On Nov. 1, Elevations Foundation will distribute all funds raised to those displaced by the wildfires in partnership with local agencies supporting those affected.
"Elevations Credit Union is a shining example of a financial institution that cares about our communities and residents. Their board acted in a very timely manner to establish this Wildfire Relief Fund that will provide critical assistance to families impacted by the wildfires in our two counties," said Larimer County Commissioner John Kefalas. "Larimer County provided some guidance on how to effectively deploy the funds, and we appreciate the collaborative leadership of the folks at Elevations."
