On July 29 at approximately 4:25 p.m., Boulder County Communications Center received a 911 call about a 14-year-old boy that was injured while mountain biking in the 31000 block of South St. Vrain Road.
The boy fell off his mountain bike while traversing on the Nelson Loop Trail. Lyons Fire Department assisted the male down the trail in a side by side UTV to an awaiting ambulance. The boy sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital.
Boulder County Sheriff's Office as well as Lyons Fire Department, American Medical Response (AMR), and Boulder County Open Space Rangers all assisted.
