Do you want Longmont to be environmentally sustainable, resilient and equitable? You can help by volunteering as a SOLL Sustainability Ambassador!
As a certified Longmont Sustainability Ambassador, you’ll receive free training on environmental best practices ranging from energy and water efficiency to zero waste, air quality, transportation and more. You’ll also build green job skills by learning about local, state and federal rebate and assistance programs. After that, you and a partner will conduct free home and lifestyle sustainability assessments for Longmont residents. You’ll also install free efficiency items like LED light bulbs, faucet aerators, and “smart” power strips.
Sustainability Ambassadors are asked to volunteer approximately two half-days per month. Schedules are very flexible with evening and weekend opportunities. English-speaking and bilingual residents are encouraged to apply at longmontcolorado.gov/SOLL or by calling 303-774-3553 (English) or 303-651-8556 (Spanish).
