Winter storm warning of possible 5-12 inches of snow

Update: The storm has been upgraded to a winter storm warning. 

A winter storm watch has been issued by the National Weather Service as of 3 a.m. this morning.
The watch will remain in effect until Saturday at 11 a.m.
The National Weather Service issued the watch expecting possible heavy snow with accumulations between 5-12 inches. 
Roads in the area are expected to become slick and hazardous making travel difficult.
The areas most likely to be impacted include parts of Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson, Douglas, Gilpin, Clear Creek, Park, Weld and Broomfield counties.
