Wesley Townhomes Construction Reaches Major Milestone, Bringing Affordable Housing Closer to Reality
LONGMONT, CO – A vision for more affordable housing in Longmont is becoming reality as Wesley Townhomes reaches a major construction milestone. The framing is now complete, and the future homes are beginning to take shape—moving closer to providing stable housing for low-income families in need.
Developed by The Inn Between of Longmont, Wesley Townhomes will offer 11 high performance, energy-efficient units for individuals and families facing housing instability. Once completed, the townhomes will provide long-term affordable housing for up to 50 adults and children, creating opportunities for residents to build brighter futures.
For 32 years, The Inn Between has been a cornerstone of the Longmont community, providing affordable housing and supportive services to individuals and families facing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes. The organization’s mission is to provide affordable housing and promote stability to diverse families and individuals by utilizing community resources, support services, advocacy, and life skills training. Through three distinct housing programs—Established Housing, Next Step Housing, and Re-Entry Housing—The Inn Between serves seniors, individuals with disabilities, families, and those transitioning from homelessness or the justice system.
The Wesley Townhomes project was made possible through a generous donation of ¾-acre of land from the Heart of Longmont United Methodist Church, who saw the growing need for affordable housing and stepped forward to be part of the solution. Wesley Townhomes is being built to Passive House standards, ensuring high energy efficiency while also incorporating neuro-inclusive design elements to accommodate a diverse range of residents.
With the framing stage now complete, the next phase of construction will focus on electrical and plumbing installations—critical steps in preparing these units for their future residents. As each piece of the project comes together, the anticipation continues to build for the day when families can move in and call Wesley Townhomes home.
The need for affordable housing in Longmont remains urgent. Rising rental costs and a lack of available units continue to push families into unstable living situations. The Inn Between is committed to addressing this crisis by expanding housing options and advocating for long-term solutions. Currently, the our organization owns and operates six buildings consisting of 87 units, providing stable housing and support services to those facing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes. Wesley Townhomes represents the next step in growing this vital housing network, offering even more families the opportunity for stability and self-sufficiency.
