Hello Longmont! I have some wonderful news: The Leader is making a comeback!
I am very excited. The Longmont Leader became a valuable source of news and information focused on the community for over eight years. When we thought that was the end, it was a sad day for us all.
But all that hard work and the dedication you all showed did not go unnoticed. UP Venture Media, a content marketing company eager to expand into news content, seized an opportunity to revive the Leader and to grow it bigger and stronger than ever before.
Although the owners of the company have changed, not much else will. The Leader will continue to report on Longmont and the immediate area, sharing its stories and building up the community.
The team at UP Venture can’t wait to get to know Longmont and I can’t wait for you to get to know them too. The website has just been transferred to UP Venture so please be patient as we work through some of those technical kinks. You will start to see a few stories pop up beginning today and steadily the amount of content will increase. Before you know it, the articles will become abundant once again. Who knows you may even see some of your favorite Longmont writers pop in with a great new story.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to have the Longmont Leader reporting on local news again. Eight years just wasn’t long enough, it is time to make this a forever news source for Longmont, a dream that the staff at UP Venture share.
