The Holiday Season isn’t over yet: Five of Longmont’s brightest spots to look at Christmas lights

A few places to look at the holiday lights before the season ends

Enjoying Christmas lights is a simple way to make the most of the holiday season, and many Longmont locations — known for their lights — are strung up again this year. It’s not too late to check them out!

There are a few options for going out to see how the town celebrates.

Roosevelt Park

Located just off of Longmont’s Main Street, Roosevelt park is the perfect place for anyone looking to walk and admire Christmas lights. The park is decorated from end-to-end every year, each tree wrapped in colorful lights, and the sidewalk circling the grassy area is just long enough for a winter night stroll.

The Christmas House on Lincoln Place

Complete with glowing life-sized scenes and favorite blow-up characters, the front yard of 13 Lincoln Place at the home of Debbie and Tom Martinez is the perfect spot for a short light-seeing outing. This Christmas yard is so full of features you have to take a path throughout it to get a good look at everything, so be sure to dress warmly.

Main Street

Main Street in Longmont becomes a different world at night during the holiday season. The glowing golden lights against the backdrop of decorated local storefronts is always a breathtaking sight. You can walk the lit streets, or drive through, with lights on either side.

Portico Neighborhood

If you’re on the lookout for the traditional neighborhood scope, Portico is the way to go. The neighborhood is full of beautiful homes, covered in festive lighting. And you can see all of it, driving in your car.

Prospect Neighborhood

This neighborhood’s large expanse of quaint houses is accentuated by its Christmas spirit. Drive or walk through to see impressive light decorations at every corner.
